Sushi was quite good. Yozu platter including soup and salad. Still made fresh when it was slow and later in the night, so that speaks for good quality. Looking forward to returning. Music was calming and the dining area was up scale. Hibachi stations always look like a good time, as well

This place was phenomenal, very clean and the staff was very accommodating, we had a large group and the place was very busy, but that didn't stop the staff from still attending to us very quickly. Unfortunately, we could not get the hibachi chef as we did not call ahead for reservations. Despite this the hibachi chef did give us some attention while he was at the neighboring station. We were also still able to order hibachi food although it was cooked in the kitchen. The food itself was excellent. They even sang happy birthday to my girlfriend and gave her a delicious fried ice cream. Leftovers the next day were equally as delicious!!

2 years ago I ate here and had a great experience. However today I ordered delivery. Not only did it take a while to come, but the service was terrible. One of the beef teriyakis I ordered spilled all over the bag due to being poorly packed. This restaurant is only 9 minutes from where I am, and the food was very cold, which shouldn’t be the case. I called to say my situation and the lady on the phone, which may be the owner, was very unprofessional.

Amazing experience at the restaurant. Jason was our chef for that day and he had us laughing and having fun. The food was good the restaurant was clean, and everyone was friendly. Overall, I would go back, if I were in that area of Jersey.

I had the pleasure of sitting at the sushi bar with my friend, Vinnie, who had his first sushi experience here! Chef could not have been more kind, attentive, and helpful explaining sushi to him. Chef’s station was immaculately clean, our service was very kind and attentive, and we had a wonderful time. It was a joy to introduce my friend to sushi at Yozu!

Can't recommend this place enough. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Staff is extremely friendly, family owned business. Place is clean, charming and cozy. They have tables to sit if you don't want a show, and you can watch them make sushi if you like that. Food is amazing, fried cheesecake is to die for! Definitely better than the Rio Grand hibachi.

Went here during the crazy Cape May summer season, couldn’t find a place to eat on the island and called Yozu at 6:00 for a 6:30 reservation for six. They were able to accommodate us, meal was great, the service and chef were amazing. My kids said best hibachi chef ever. Involved the whole table, everyone from ages 10-80 were laughing, food was great. Chef Gary was so entertaining, and recommend for a fun night in Cape May for the entire family.
